The Pinecone Cabin is a cozy, getaway for those looking for a rustic cabin, without giving up modern conveniences. It includes a screened porch, living and dining area and a double bed. Enjoy the ADK Rail Trail and Lake a stone's throw away. Includes free use of bicycles, kayaks, and kick sleds. Perfect for couples and solo travelers.

Bicycles

Your stay includes the use of our new bicycles. They are an easy step through design with 7 speeds, perfect for use on the ADK Rail Trail. Includes helmet, and lock to lock up if heading into town

Kayaks

Each stay also includes the use of kayaks. These are a beginner friendly way to hit the water and take in the beautiful sites. Includes PDF's, Paddles, and Dollies to transport down to the lake.

Kicksleds

Each stay includes the use of Kicksleds. A popular mode if transportation onsnow and ice in Finland. These easy to use kicksleds are a fun way to hit the Rail Trail in the winter.

We loved our stay here! This is a beautiful and very cozy cabin in a peaceful location. We loved being so close to a quiet beach and the rail trail. We rode our bikes all the way to Lake Placid and back from the cabin without needing to drive anywhere first to access the trail. It was right across the street. The hosts were so kind and friendly and we only wish we had even more time to get to know them. A beautiful, clean, peaceful place to spend an ADK weekend!

Shawn and Mindy were wonderful, gracious hosts. The rustic cabin was clean and the king bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the rain and unseasonably cold weather kept us from taking advantage of their lovely outdoor and screened porch areas. Shawn had good suggestions for kayaking on the one nice day, and for restaurants. Mindy brought us yummy fresh eggs from the chickens who roam the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

Fantastic location includes a lot of water opportunities as well as the new and wonderful Adirondack Rail Trail, which was really fantastic. Even though it's located on a main road it is very isolated in the woods and very private and peaceful. After spending a wonderful day bicycling the new rail trail, we only had a 1.5 mile ride/drive to Charlie's Inn on the trail, which is developing into a great meeting spot for trail riders. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and very well appointed. We also enjoyed Shawn's chickens and dog.
